Amazing Tuba Kid at TED

Check out this young guy Matthew White playing the tuba in a very different way at the TED conference."TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader." 

To get the TED stage you have to be extraordinary and have an amazing talent whether you are talking about bringing potable water to secluded villages in Africa or playing a tuba. Being there means you are massively impacting many lives. Speaking on the TED stage is on my life goal list.  And I will give a talk on that stage within the next ten years. I am telling you to hold me accountable. Maybe for my social cause Hugs Unite Us or because I have become a world recognized authority on success and living life full out. Either way, you will see the name Croix Sather at a future TED conference.

What can Social Media do for you?

Social Media (aka: social networking) is a hot topic of the Internet these days and also on mainstream news. This is arguably the most powerful tool you can use today to reach people of like mind and to find new clients and customers.

 

With a simple, yet effective social media plan you can reach new clients and build your customer base. Today all the effective companies are making money with social media by finding more customers and creating a buzz around their products.

 

Many businesses are suffering from less sales and this leads to less profits and tighter cash flow. Business must have these to flourish and be profitable. This means that your business needs to find new customers that will buy and become regular customers and most importantly, tell their friends about you.

 

How do you reach more customers?

Social media is an amazing way to find new customers. The beautiful thing about it is that it is free, or nearly free. You can advertise and market to your specific niche for free, the only significant cost is just a little bit of time. You can even target people that do specific things – meaning that they need your products. What makes social media different is that it can also help you create raving fans of your business or products and the word can spread from one person to another that are into your products.

 

For example; you sell scuba gear. You find scuba people through social media, you become “friends” with them and from time to time, offer advice that they need and want. Someone buys the newest scuba regulator and uses it during a vacation. She loves it and tells all her scuba friends that it is the most amazing regulator ever created. Her friends ask her where she got it, so she tells them about your store. Presto – you get sales from a client that you didn’t even know existed. You have become an inner circle friend.
